Package: unionfs-tools Version: 1.1.4+20060417.0541+debian-2 Severity: normal
Hi, The man pages of unionfs-tools do not properly describe the actual behaviour of unionfs: - The page unionfs(4) says that the default value for the "delete" option is "all", however the NEWS file explains that the default is now "whiteout" and that "all" is not compiled in by default. Indeed, there is no way to mount a unionfs with "delete=all" (at least with the version I use, namely unionfs-modules-2.6.16-k7). I think it should be compiled in, some people (including myself) would use it. - The page unionctl(8) describes what happens if a branch is used multiple times, but trying to actually use a branch several times results in an error. -- Emmanuel Beffara -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-k7 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages unionfs-tools depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libuuid1 1.38+1.39-WIP-2005.12.31-1 universally unique id library unionfs-tools recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
