Package: qemu-utils
Version: 1:6.1+dfsg-8+b2
Aiming to automate VM image creation, I recognised that on Debian,
qemu-img does not support the Parallels virtualizer hds virtual disk
image format. Generally it seems to be supported by QEMU, like here on
RHEL 7:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/virtualization_deployment_and_administration_guide/sect-using_qemu_img-supported_qemu_img_formats
I guess it is a build flag, or does it have to do with licensing?
Generally, it would be great if Debian could add support for
Parallels/hds to qemu-utils/qemu-img, when required via contrib or
non-free components.
Best regards,
Micha
