(I've merged #923090 and #996833 since they are asking the same. Adding Guillem to CC here.)

(I've grepped through a few thousand random bug reports to see what other shells besides bash and dash would turn up as link targets for /bin/sh, and only found a handful instances of /bin/lksh and /bin/pdksh. Not a problem with regard to detecting merged-/usr.) Guillem, is this 'good enough' for you? Or does anyone still think there is value in adding an explicit note about merged-/usr status even if the actual information is already present?
