Please go ahead with the update. The maintainer's lastest upload was on 2018-09-10. And please switch the dependency from ttf-bitstream-vera to fonts- dejavu-core while at it: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=998278 Best, Amr
