Hi
As you can see from the CI results
https://ci.debian.net/packages/f/freeipa/unstable/amd64/
since 2021-11-04 and up the tests fail on installing the client with
this error:
Cannot connect to the server due to generic error: Insufficient
access: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy mechs found
(Unknown authentication method)
I narrowed down the changed packages and the list includes
libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit. I verified that upgrading this package
(and libsasl2-modules) broke my test system with the same error,
everything else was upgraded earlier to current sid and that state
worked fine.
Since the changes to cyrus-sasl2 can't be causing this, maybe there's
some issue with building it with current gcc? I'll try building it
with gcc-10 next.
Can you name the version that is causing this? Is it 2.1.27+dfsg-2.2 or
I 2.1.27+dfsg-2.3 (which were published around the date you reported).
As the topic says, -2.2. Downgrading to -2.1 makes things work again.
