I skipped including fix to this bug report. So help me out.
This affects debmake-doc which is meant to replace maint-guide.

Felix Lechner, if I understand correctly, you are the one updating this document
since 2019-08-10.

Except 60d0b26d6 ("Replace documentation references to lintian-info(1) with
lintian-
explain-tags(1), as appropriate.", 2020-09-11), most commits seem to be related
to
the file format conversion.

The web page referred in wiki page
http://www.fifi.org/doc/lintian/lintian.html/index.html#contents
seems to have very old content. (I see not much description on overrides and
not so
useful.)

So the /usr/share/doc/lintian/lintian.html installed by lintian package which is
generated from the Felix's RST seems more current.

I understand having a web page reference is useful for documentation. I don't
want
to replace it with file location.

Felix, what is your plan? Debian documentation publishes packaged
documentation to
www.debian.org using the latest unstable package. It is rather trivial for me
to
update cron script if you like to have this latest version on
http://www.debian.org/doc/lintian/lintian.html .

Then it will be dynamically updated as you upload new version.

If you also think having api.html/ on the web is useful, that's easy too.

If you want to have everything on lintian.debian.org and you want to add fancy
updated CSS, that's fine with me. (What I do will not add CSS.)

Tell me your plan, please.

Regards,

Osamu
