The MR by Sascha Wilde at https://salsa.debian.org/debian/gpgme/-/merge_requests/2 works perfectly here. This bug is three years old and the patch more than a year, could someone please have a look at merging it?

Building gpgme by hand and and installing gpgme-json manually every
time after gpgme updates is getting rather tedious.
