No problem with that. But I don't think that such trickery is really necessary. Having these Debian specific files available to texdoc should cause no problems. And if it does, one could use /usr/share/doc/tetex-doc/texmf, which currently is a link to /usr/share/doc/texmf. cheerio ralf
