I'm raising the severity since this is blocking testing migration of xsimd. Please fix this issue in the near future, this is currently blocking testing migration of a larger numerical library stack transition. The armhf and ppc64el autopkgtest failures are a side effect of the FTBFS on these architectures, Paul Gevers from the release team has added a hint to ignore the autopkgtest failures on armhf and ppc64el for now. cu Adrian
