Hi libesmtp-1.0.pc contains Requires.private: openssl >= 1.1.0 but the libesmtp-dev binary package misses a Depends on libssl-dev accordingly. Accordingly: $ pkg-config --print-errors --exists libesmtp-1.0 Package openssl was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `openssl.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'openssl', required by 'libesmtp-1.0', not found Regards, Salvatore
