Dear Maintainer, The following transcript should be self-explanatory. gcc-11 also procudes unusable a.out with -static-pie as https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=996659 This issue could be a duplicate of #996659 but I am unsure.
