Pybuild should catch the error and if needed print something useful. I don't know that this needs anything though. If a package uses cmake and it's not there, it'll eventually blow up the build anyway. I don't thnk pybuild needs to call it out.
Seconded. This traceback just sent me down the wrong road when investigating a build failure after importing a new upstream release of pyopencl.
