The reason I responded at all was that AFAIK the RT indeed has the right to make such a change. In hindsight I should've only responded like this: "This action is taken without the knowledge or the consent of the Debian Xen package maintainers." Just like I learned I shouldn't respond (on the internet) before I've had at least my first cup of coffee, I've now learned that writing an email while angry is a similar bad idea.
