Some of the packages that provide the core-dump-handler virtual package (corekeeper, minicoredumper, systemd-coredump) reduce the size of the core dump using compression (minicoredumper, systemd-coredump). The systemd-coredump package uses zstd compression and minicoredumper can be configured to use any compressor at all but the manual page lists gzip bzip2 xz as examples. I think it would be good to detect, decompress and process gzip bzip2 xz zstd files at minimum. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
