Package: pipewire Version: 0.3.37-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I used to have Pulseaudio here and I wasn't happy with its interaction with Jack (I try to play and record myself through a firewire interface on ardour now and then). When I heard of pipewire this an obvious try to makes things happen here more fluidly. The installation of pipewire was a total success, working for a while (using that pipewire-pulse to keep tha pasystrays and pavucontrol tools working here to manage all sound cards inputs and volumes). Yesterday, after trying to record on obs a web conference running on Zoom, the first time was and the last test had crappy sound and now I can't see the sound cards in the pasystray menu and the system plays no sound at all. I just upgraded to version 0.3.37 and, even after a poweroff/poweron it remains in the same state. I have installed the following packages on the last upgrade: [INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] libpipewire-0.3-common:amd64 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] libpipewire-0.3-0:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] libpipewire-0.3-modules:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] libspa-0.2-modules:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] pipewire:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] pipewire-audio-client-libraries:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] pipewire-bin:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] pipewire-media-session:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 [UPGRADE] pipewire-pulse:amd64 0.3.36-1 -> 0.3.37-1 Also, I followed the steps on the Wiki (https://wiki.debian.org/PipeWire#Debian_Testing.2FUnstable), including the use of qjackctl (that I was used to). Sorry if I'm not too precise here, but I'm an "end user" with full will to help to develop the system.
