retitle 351697 "gnucash: scheduled transaction corruption prevents startup"
thanks

I've seen this problem crop up on the gnucash mailing lists from time to
time.

It results from a scheduled transaction that is / has become invalid.
The workaround is:

1. Start gnucash from a terminal:
$ gnucash --nofile
2. Edit preferences to not run the scheduled transaction check each time
gnucash starts.
3. Start gnucash as normal and edit your scheduled transactions.
