btw: it might make sense for you to instead create and document a copy of the _CRYPTTAB_* e.g. RAW_CRYPTTAB_* . That would give you the freedom to change/mangle/etc. the underlying _CRYPTTAB_* should you ever wish to. Cheers, Chris.
