Dear Maintainer,

Makes sense that it's not proper solution and thank you for your feedback.

Using st and dash I got the following.

$ dpkg -L ncurses-term|grep st-256color
/usr/share/terminfo/s/st-256color
$ TERM="st-256color"
$ htop
Error opening terminal: st-256color.
$ top
'st-256color': unknown terminal type.
$ man --version
man 2.9.4
$
