I have some problemas today using Kate and Kwrite. It puts a space before when I write some characters in a Brazilian ABNT keyboard. I found this problem with the characters ' and ". Here are some examples: When I write Paraná, kate shows Paran á When I write conseqüências, kate shows conseq üências. This problem does not occour with the characters `, ^,~ and the problem only happens with kate and kwrite.
