Package: zsh-static Version: 5.8-7 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** I recently upgraded zsh-static:amd64 from 5.8-6+b2 to 5.8-7. With version 5.8-7, /bin/zsh-static segfaults immediately upon execution. The previous 5.8-6+b2 version was fine. Here is an example attempt to run zsh-static: tensor(pts/3):~> /bin/zsh-static zsh: segmentation fault /bin/zsh-static tensor(pts/3):~> echo $? 139 A side effect of this is that any user relying on zsh-static as their login shell cannot login via ssh any more, since their shell immediately crashes. -- Package-specific info: Packages which provide vendor completions: Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Architecture Description +++-================-=============-============-======================================================================= ii bubblewrap 0.5.0-1 amd64 utility for unprivileged chroot and namespace manipulation ii curl 7.74.0-1.3+b1 amd64 command line tool for transferring data with URL syntax ii mercurial-common 5.9-3 all easy-to-use, scalable distributed version control system (common files) ii systemd 247.9-1 amd64 system and service manager ii udev 247.9-1 amd64 /dev/ and hotplug management daemon dpkg-query: no path found matching pattern /usr/share/zsh/vendor-functions/ -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU thread) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages zsh-static depends on: ii zsh 5.8-7 zsh-static recommends no packages.
