I have just translated the hardware.po section of the manual. While
doing so, I noticed the following typos or errors, which I thought
you might like to clear up before release.
I'm not sure if the above tags will work for this report, if i have
them correctly, so have sent a copy to you, Frans. I hope that's OK.
Sorry it's taken me so long to find time to continue working on the
Manual. I hope I can get it done before release, if that is still
useful.

The G4 is not a system: it is the type of processor configuration,
and therefore is usually used to identify the machine. My laptop is
an iBook G4, that's họw it is classified, based on the overall
hardware config, and on the processor config. powering the machine.
When I look at About This Mac in my Apple menu, it ignores the
hardware config entirely and simply says "Processor: PowerMac 1.2 GHz
G4". (More detailed hardware config is available via "More Info...".)
I would also strongly recommend you change "Macintosh" to "Mac" or
"Apple Mac" throughout your documentation. No Mac user calls it the
Macintosh, and Apple certainly doesn't. "What are you running?" "I've
got a Mac." My Apple menu says "About This Mac", not "About This
Macintosh", and our help documentation is called "Mac Help", not
"Macintosh Help".
The word Macintosh is also more confusing for readers of other
languages, too, since it's a difficult word to work out, not
structured as will make sense in many languages. Combined consonant
sounds are difficult for speakers of many languages.

950), and finally the Performa 200-640CD, an excellent line of
machines. Very reliable, robust and capable.
In laptops, it started with the Mac Portable, then the PowerBook
100-190cs and the PowerBook Duo 210-550c (excluding PowerBook 500
which is Nubus, please see the section below).
Please feel free to use this information. It is correct and
comprehensive, which will help users with different models of
machines. You can refer to MacTracker, or any of the Mac information
sites.

NuBus systems are not currently supported by debian/powerpc. The
monolithic Linux/PPC kernel architecture does not have support for
these machines; instead, one must use the MkLinux Mach microkernel,
which Debian does not yet support. These include the following:

these strings. ;)
The NuBus Macs have he 603 and 604 processors: the Power Mac
4400-9600, the Twentieth Anniversary Mac, the Performa 5200CD-6420
and the laptops PowerBook Duo 2300c/100, Powerbook 500, and
PowerBooks 1400-5300. This series also includes the Workgroup Server
6150-9650, and the Network Server 500-700.
