Package: amanda-client Version: 1:3.5.1-7 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I found a fix for the stderr: tarmode: unrecognised option quiet error messages while Amanda is using smbclient. I removed the quiet option from amsamba because the newest smbclient versions does seem to imply 'quiet' and the option is not available any more. backup@chronos:~$ diff /usr/lib/amanda/application/amsamba /usr/lib/amanda/application/amsamba.orig 646c646 < $comm = "tarmode full reset hidden system;"; --- > $comm = "tarmode full reset hidden system quiet;"; 648c648 < $comm = "tarmode inc noreset hidden system;"; --- > $comm = "tarmode inc noreset hidden system quiet;"; I hope that helps.
