The described problems still exists. The problem is transparency. No matter if this is an issue for an admin and this has to be very complex and nerdy or something like this because of that.
The problems and issues need to be reported and documented, even for Debian. A much more user- and admin-friendly and polite reaction would be to do the adduser command by default when installing the package. Is there any good reason why this could not happen by default?
