Package: miniupnpd Version: 2.2.1-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Installed miniupnpd and attempted to start the service using systemctl. * What was the outcome of this action? Miniupnpd failed to start stating that "Your miniupnpd binary seems to mismatch your *tables backend; refused to start!". * What outcome did you expect instead? Miniupnpd starting successfully. * Supplimental info It appears that line 10 in miniupnpd-startstop-helper.sh is executing the 'update-alternatives' command, looking for iptables. Since iptables is not present on my system, this query returns a blank value and the script fails. It would seems that this script needs to be updated to accomodate systems that are nftables only. Thank you kindly. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_CA:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages miniupnpd depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.77 ii init-system-helpers 1.60 ii lsb-base 11.1.0 ii miniupnpd-nftables 2.2.1-1 ii uuid-runtime 2.36.1-8 miniupnpd recommends no packages. miniupnpd suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- debsums errors found: debsums: changed file /lib/systemd/system/miniupnpd.service (from miniupnpd package) debsums: changed file /usr/libexec/miniupnpd-startstop-helper.sh (from miniupnpd package)
