I'm splitting #986109, as Sean kindly requested. The bug report about this package's dependency on libgtk2-perl is #912889. I'll share some extra information here on top of what's already on #986109, because among the reverse dependencies of libgtk2-perl, this one is kind of a special case, for 2 reasons. First, "ROM" is clearly overstated here: tinyca is not maintained by a team I'm part of. However, I'm the maintainer for libgtk2-perl. Second, among the reverse dependencies of libgtk2-perl for which I just filed RM bug reports, this is the only one where some effort to port the package to current GTK happened. However, the product of this effort does not appear to have been published yet, and the information I see leads me to suspect this effort has been stalled since 11 months: https://bugs.debian.org/912889#36 So while there's some hope tinyca makes it back into Debian at some point, I don't think it warrants blocking the libgtk2-perl removal project which I started in November 2018. The package has not been installable on sid since October 2019 so removing it now won't change the situation for users. Thanks!
