Hi,

I took time to make some tests with files from official website.
The problem is still present with libreoffice.
Is there a debian page about stuff to check when a font is not appearing in font list ?

Debian files looks not up to date.
md5sum for debian files

md5sum for official website

5ded992908f415149c9de35c73adbf70  allerta_stencil.otf

I tried to open official otf files with font forge, I got a warning message:
This font contains both a kern table and a GPOS table.
The kern table will only be read if there is no kern feature in GPOS
Warning: Mac and Windows entries in the name table differ for the
Fullname string in the language English (US)
  Mac String: Allerta Medium
  Windows String: Allerta-Medium

I'm not a font specialist. Is it possible that there is any relation ?

Regards,
Serge

I'm not familiar with this issue, but you can try downloading the original files here: http://pixelspread.com/allerta/ <http://pixelspread.com/allerta/>
There are two weights in a few different file types you can try
