Package: neomutt
Version: 20201127+dfsg.1-1.2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Since upgrading to bullseye neomutt, hitting backspace on an empty
input line sends off the input for me. For an example of where
this is obnoxious, try:

(a) reply to a mail

(b) clear the To: field using backspace (or ^U), and then hit backspace
once again

The effect for me is that mutt proceeds to requesting the Subject line.
The original recipient (i.e., the address I just backspaced away) is
retained by neomutt.

I'm sort-of doubting my system because nobody else has reported this so
far and the misbehaviour has (for me) been consistent in testing since I
upgraded to it, but I can't really imagine how anything (inputrc?) might
cause this behaviour.

And yeah, using ^U mitigates the problem in this concrete scenario, but
there is quite a bit of confusion caused in other contexts, too.
