Package: libappindicator3-1 Version: 0.4.92-7 Severity: normal Tags: d-i Dear Maintainer,
the packages libappindicator3-1 and libindicator3-7 are needed by Skype and RocketChat to display "tray" icons in the application bar. These icons are important for my daily work because they indicate whether I received a message. Unfortunately, these two packages do not exist anymore in Debian 11. If you upgrade from Debian 10 to 11 you will not notice the issue because the packages remain installed from the previous Debian release. But when you install Debian 11 on a fresh empty harddisk, then you are affected by the issue. As a workaround, I downloaded these two packages manually from Debian 10 and installed them with "dpkg -i". They work fine so far. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libappindicator3-1 depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.36.0-2 ii libc6 2.31-13 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.16.0-5 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-5 ii libdbusmenu-glib4 18.10.20180917~bzr492+repack1-2 ii libdbusmenu-gtk3-4 18.10.20180917~bzr492+repack1-2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.2-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4 ii libindicator3-7 0.5.0-4 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 libappindicator3-1 recommends no packages. libappindicator3-1 suggests no packages.
