Package: iputils-clockdiff Version: 3:20210202-1 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/clockdiff
At some point clockdiff started to check the result of nice(-16) and erroring out when it fails. This is silly on its own, but more importantly makes it unusable to anyone but root when installed the way it currently is when setcap is available, ie. with just cap_net_raw=ep.
It additionally requires the cap_sys_nice capability. -k -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-7-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages iputils-clockdiff depends on: ii libc6 2.31-12 ii libcap2 1:2.44-1 iputils-clockdiff recommends no packages. iputils-clockdiff suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
