Extra package option is very useful when you have a build dependency still in NEW but you don't want to wait for it to clear NEW before building other packages.
extra-repository option is very useful to share a stable rootfs for building stable-backports suite.
Both options are available in sbuild and I have to switch to sbuild for these two options.
