The change was already reverted upstream, see https://github.com/ledger/ledger/issues/1907 and commit 7f78cadea4a2359f1f53ce9c0c66b6d3fafd81c4 And this reminds me that there was another important regression in 3.2.1 that got reverted later: commit 1600ee1f64f659b151c1c873d478baa1bdab89f2 I suggest you apply both of these reverts to the Debian package.
