Package: open-vm-tools
Version: 2:11.2.5-2
Severity: normal

Hey.

I've noted that on all my systms I have a file:
/etc/vmware-tools/tools.conf.old

which is left over on purging the package:
Purging configuration files for open-vm-tools (2:11.2.5-2) ...
dpkg: warning: while removing open-vm-tools, directory '/etc/vmware-tools' not
empty so not removed

The file is pretty old (2011) but I don't think I've ever
created this mysel.
OTOH, I couldn't find (okay I did just some quick greps) any
references to it in the current source package.

So maybe this is a non-issue (then simply close it)... but
if you know any way how this file would still get created
by the current package (maybe some of the CLI tools?) than
it would be nice if it could get cleaned up on purge.

Thanks,
Chris.
