I came to this bug report when searching for other things; I've read through the history here and I feel compelled to comment.
Jim: given your appalling lack of respect you've shown for Debian developers here, it's hardly surprising that nobody seems to want to engage with you. Your tone and wording in several of your messages here are utterly unacceptable. You've used abusive language about people who are volunteers working to improve Debian in their own time.
