Helge, Thanks for the bug report. We are in the process of uploaded digikam 0.8.2+beta1 which should address the issues you have identified. Could I ask you to install the package at http://people.debian.org/~msp/digikam_0.8.1+0.8.2-beta1-0.2_i386.deb and let us know if that solves your problem. Mark
