Assuming you are still unsing stretch on that host: Can you still reproduce the issue with a recent 4.9.y kernel? if you switched to buster and up, are you still able to reproduce the issue with a recent kernel instead? if it is not anymore reproducible, we can go ahead and close the bug otherwise.
