Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? Nothing specific was done, found graphics subsystem locked and before running reboot from a second system on my network ran dmesg * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Didn't do anything and a reboot cleared the issue, likely temporarily but the issue was cleared filed a bug report at lxqt * What was the outcome of this action? upstream dev indicated that it wasn't their problem - - - rather it was debian's problem Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages lxqt depends on: ii featherpad 0.12.1-1 ii i3-wm [x-window-manager] 4.19.1-1 ii lightdm [x-display-manager] 1.26.0-7 ii lxdm [x-display-manager] 0.5.3-4 ii lximage-qt 0.14.1-1+b1 ii lxqt-about 0.14.1-1+b1 ii lxqt-admin 0.14.1-1+b1 ii lxqt-branding-debian [lxqt-branding] 0.14.0.3 ii lxqt-core 30 ii lxqt-openssh-askpass 0.14.1-1 ii lxqt-powermanagement 0.14.1-1+b1 ii lxqt-sudo 0.14.1-2+b1 ii openbox [x-window-manager] 3.6.1-9+deb11u1 ii pavucontrol 4.0-2 ii qlipper 1:5.1.2-1+b1 ii qps 2.0.0-1+b1 ii qterminal 0.14.1-1+b1 ii qttranslations5-l10n 5.15.2-2 ii sddm [x-display-manager] 0.18.1-1 ii sddm-theme-debian-maui [sddm-theme] 0.18.1-1 pn screengrab <none> ii smplayer 20.6.0~ds0-1 ii smtube 18.3.0-1+b1 ii vivaldi-stable [www-browser] 3.8.2259.40-1 Versions of packages lxqt suggests: ii calibre 5.3.0+dfsg-1 pn compton-conf <none> pn juffed <none> pn nomacs <none> pn obconf-qt <none> pn qt5-style-kvantum <none> pn qtpass <none> pn shutter <none> pn vokoscreen <none> -- no debconf information dpkg -l | less | grep lxqt* ii liblxqt-globalkeys-ui0:amd64 0.14.3-1+b1 amd64 daemon used to register global keyboard shortcut ii liblxqt-globalkeys0:amd64 0.14.3-1+b1 amd64 daemon used to register global keyboard shortcut ii liblxqt-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for liblxqt ii lxqt-policykit 0.14.1-1+b1 amd64 LXQt authentication agent for PolicyKit ii lxqt-policykit-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for lxqt-policykit ii lxqt-powermanagement 0.14.1-1+b1 amd64 power management module for LXQt ii lxqt-powermanagement-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for lxqt-powermanagement ii lxqt-qtplugin:amd64 0.14.0-3+b2 amd64 LXQt system integration plugin for Qt ii lxqt-runner 0.14.1-1+b1 amd64 LXQt program launcher ii lxqt-runner-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for lxqt-runner ii lxqt-session 0.14.1-2+b1 amd64 session manager component for LXQt ii lxqt-session-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for lxqt-session ii lxqt-sudo 0.14.1-2+b1 amd64 Graphical QT frontend for plain sudo ii lxqt-sudo-l10n 0.16.0-1 all Language package for lxqt-sudo ii lxqt-system-theme 0.16.0-1 all System theme for LXQt ii lxqt-theme-debian 0.14.0.3 all Debian theme for LXQt ii lxqt-themes 0.16.0-1 all Themes for LXQt dmesg tail showing issue [Tue May 11 07:41:22 2021] traps: lxqt-globalkeys[1872] general protection fault ip:7efd223044a6 sp:7ffc014175e0 error:0 in libc-2.31.so[7efd222e [Tue May 11 07:41:24 2021] pcmanfm-qt[1871]: segfault at 30 ip 00007f038e86e925 sp 00007fff7ee3c700 error 4 in libQt5Core.so.5.14.2[7f038e65c000+ [Tue May 11 07:41:24 2021] Code: 53 48 83 ec 28 8b 05 f2 ec 28 00 83 f8 ff 7c 16 0f b6 05 8e ec 28 00 84 c0 0f 84 c6 00 00 00 48 8d 0d 9f ec 28 0 root@memyself:/# AFAIK I haven't deliberately tried to keep lxqt 14.x Should I remove all lxqt 14.x files (apt remove && purge) ?
