Package: bugs.debian.org Severity: important spohr attempts to send me 8-bit messages without specifying 8BITMIME. Logs are included at the bottom. It is a violation of the SMTP protocol to send 8-bit data when such data is not both identified with BODY=8BITMIME[0] and also well-formed MIME. I'm guessing that you are either using exim3 or exim4, so you may want to clone this bug to the appropriate package. Also, for your information, sendmail handles this properly.
