Package: aptitude Version: 0.8.13-3 Severity: normal
Hey. When opening the manual from within aptitude, I always see character encoding issues (just within the manual, the rest of aptitude is fine). With: LANG=C.UTF-8 tables look like: ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ¼âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ⤠▒ â Actions â Forget new â Discard all information about what â ▒ â packages (f) â packages are ânewâ (empty the âNew â ▒ â â Packagesâ tree). â ▒ ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ¼âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ⤠▒ â â Cancel all pending actions from this â ▒ â â session (including installations, â ▒ â Actions â Cancel pending â removals, upgrades, holds, marking as â ▒ â actions â automatically installed...). This is â ▒ â â roughly equivalent to restart the â ▒ â â program. â ▒ ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ¼âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ⤠▒ â Actions â Clean package â Delete all the compressed packages that â ▒ â cache â were downloaded by aptitude ^[a]. â ▒ ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ¼âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ⤠▒ With LANG=C.UTF-8 the tables’ borders don't seem to appear at all. Cheers, Chris.
