Package: rdiff-backup
Version: 1.2.8-8
Severity: normal
User: debian...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: obsolete-conffile adequate

Dear Maintainer,

In version 1.2.8-8, the bash completion file was moved from /etc to /usr/share.

However, the obsolete conffile is not properly clean up during the upgrade
(e.g. from buster to bullseye):

$ adequate rdiff-backup
rdiff-backup: obsolete-conffile /etc/bash_completion.d/rdiff-backup
$ dpkg-query -W -f='${Conffiles}\n' rdiff-backup | grep obsolete$
 /etc/bash_completion.d/rdiff-backup ace9481dc2609603de4ade233623fa03 obsolete

Please use the dpkg-maintscript-helper support provided by
dh_installdeb to remove this obsolete conffile on upgrade.

Thanks for your work,
