A summary of the issues: the package is the same version since stretch (no uploads since 2017). It has several important issues, most notably that it crashes everytime you restart it (e.g. after logrotate). This bug has been raised two years ago without any maintainer comment. Fixing the package is also unlikely since upstream has gone closed source. So even if there's interest in fixing this, it would be by packaging the free alternative (fork) that has been suggested in this thread. Kind regards, Thijs
