Yes, after you've pressed the delete key on a *recurrent* appointment, you
get a dialog with 'current', 'all' and 'cancel'.

Also recurring appointments where you only delete one of them (and *not*
the whole appointment)?

It's above, there is not much I can add.
Perhaps the environment variables are also of importance:
LANG=en_IE.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=en_IE:en_US:en_GB:en
