Perhaps add a note on the best way for the user to get read write
permission to e.g., /dev/ttyS? on Debian.

I did
$ su
# chmod 666 /dev/ttyS0
but maybe this isn't the best way.

The  best way is adding yourself to the dialout group. I will make a  note of it in the upcoming version.

Thanks,
Joop
