Hi, I upgraded snapd from the stable channel today. It does seem as if more confinement is now activated because of an error I am now getting with bitcoin-core. The error is Error: Unable to open settings file /home/user/.bitcoin/settings.json.tmp for writing. I checked the permissions with the snap store and home access, network access and network-bind are all turn on. I also tried turning them off and turning it back on but same error still came up. I saw this post from someone else that seems to have a similar issue https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/640560/does-snap-partial-confinement-override-user-set-permissions.
I am using debian buster. Kernel: 4.19.0-8-amd64 type: snapd snap-id: I removed this for privacy reasons. I was not sure if it was a private id or not. tracking: latest/stable refresh-date: today at 04:04 EDT channels: latest/stable: 2.49.1 2021-03-24 (11402) 33MB - latest/candidate: 2.49.1 2021-03-12 (11402) 33MB - latest/beta: 2.49.1 2021-03-08 (11402) 33MB - latest/edge: 2.49.1+git965.g1ba2a34 2021-03-25 (11565) 33MB - installed: 2.49.1 (11402) 33MB snapd snap debug confinement partial snap debug sandbox-features apparmor: kernel:caps kernel:domain kernel:file kernel:mount kernel:namespaces kernel:network_v8 kernel:policy kernel:ptrace kernel:query kernel:rlimit kernel:signal parser:unsafe policy:default support-level:partial confinement-options: classic devmode dbus: mediated-bus-access kmod: mediated-modprobe mount: layouts mount-namespace per-snap-persistency per-snap-profiles per-snap-updates per-snap-user-profiles stale-base-invalidation seccomp: bpf-actlog bpf-argument-filtering kernel:allow kernel:errno kernel:kill_process kernel:kill_thread kernel:log kernel:trace kernel:trap udev: tagging snap connections bitcoin-core Interface Plug Slot Notes desktop bitcoin-core:desktop :desktop - home bitcoin-core:home :home manual network bitcoin-core:network :network manual network-bind bitcoin-core:network-bind :network-bind manual removable-media bitcoin-core:removable-media - - unity7 bitcoin-core:unity7 :unity7 - x11 bitcoin-core:x11 :x11 -
