Package: r-cran-littler
Version: 0.3.12-1
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/bin/r

Dear Dirk,

I was looking into some of my executables and discovered that /usr/bin/r is
not stripped and it contains debugging info on my system:

,----[ file /usr/bin/r ]
| /usr/bin/r: ELF 64-bit LSB pie executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV),
dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2,
BuildID[sha1]=36aeb221c38bd7fdf3140a4c6481ff739573e634, for GNU/Linux 3.2.0,
with debug_info, not stripped
`----

Is it desired? I would have expected it to work (as usual) with a -dbgsym
package being created if so needed (with all the justifications there).

Thanks for caring about R in Debian,

Rogério Brito.
