Hi gpe, Continuing to use Python 2 without any security support is also not a good choice. We will not be revisiting the Debian transition [1] for this package, so if you are keen to have the latest chirp available in the latest version Debian, you can help by working with upstream on the Python 3 support [2,3,4]. Of course you are free to compile chirp for yourself locally and run it with any Python interpreter you like.
