it seems you are running sbuild 0.79.1 which explains that you see this issue. This is the same as has already been reported in #884428, #891247, #917849, #947755 and fixed in 0.80.0. Would you like to do a backport of sbuild or rather wait until the next stable release? Thanks! cheers, josch
