Package: powertop Version: 2.11-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: sedat.di...@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer, I promised the PowerTop upstream maintainer to write a Debian bug-report. Sorry for the delay. PowerTop v2.13 was released @ 11-Jun.2020. I compiled PowerTop v2.13 out of Git and installed it in /opt/powertop. Inspired by the Arch Linux wiki in [2] I wrote up a powertop.service file. root# systemctl cat powertop.service # /etc/systemd/system/powertop.service [Unit] Description=Powertop tunings [Service] Type=oneshot ExecStart=/usr/sbin/powertop --auto-tune [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target Can you please update PowerTop in Debian to version 2.13? And add a powertop.service file? PowerTop upstream offers a powertop.service in "Add service file" (see [3]). This commit is post v2.13. Thanks.
