Dear all, I've been having a similar issue to the one describing which I've traced to the use of 'module-suspend-on-idle'.
My Debian release and package version are quite different but as it might be the same issue I'm adding some information to this bug before submitting a new one. Debian release: bullseye/sid pulseaudio: 14.1-1 kernel module: snd_soc_skl Symptoms: whenever audio is not being played (or pavucontrol is not open (*)) the volume get slowly reduced (every few seconds). Once at zero it continues to try to reduce the volume indefinitely (I see the notifications on screen as if I had used the volume keys). If more than one sink has non-zero volume it will cycle through each of the sinks, setting all of them to zero and keep trying to reduce the volume. Workaround: commenting out the line 'load-module module-suspend-on-idle' in the 'default.pa' file stopped this behavior. Please let me know if you think I should submit a separate bug or if you would like me to submit more information under this one. Kind regards, Ricardo
