Dear Maintainer, some members of the debian-multimedia team added freewheeling to salsa, and upgraded to the upstream release; but no NMU was made the current upstream release fixes the RC bug (#946863); which has recently caused the package to be removed from [testing] i am willing to prepare a NMU, and find a sponsor, if that would be the best way to fix freewhelling in debian; but the debian-multimedia and debian-mia teams have both suggested that i also file an ITS bug, due to the removal from testing and the length of time which the package has been broken either myself (and/or i beleive the debian-multimedia team) are willing to co-maintain or to adopt this package, if you would approve
