You didn't send the "ip a" output on your setup, please send it to me making sure the data matches that of the attached network setup. I've partially tested a setup based on yours and I see no problem. BTW: one thing I do on this kind of hotplug setup is allow hotplug on bridge-utils, which means setting it to yes on /etc/default/bridge-utils This allows me to plug in and out ethernet devices without needing to declare them or anything, I know this doesn't work for wifi devices, which need hostapd.
